About Us

The Division of International Affairs (DIA) is the center for activities that connect the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ to the global community of students, scholars, and researchers. ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ is proud to host approximately 1,400 students from outside the United States, and the division's recruitment team actively seeks to increase the number of applicants from all corners of the globe. Our international students and scholars excel in their fields of study, contribute to research and innovation, and help make our city a diverse and inclusive community.

Within the Center for International Education Services (CIES), the International Student Services Office supports foreign students once they have been accepted for admittance and throughout their engagement with the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½. Our active Education Abroad Office gives domestic students unparalleled opportunities for cross-cultural learning experiences abroad, including academic study, internships, and community service programs. Its catalog includes short-term programs during the summer or semester breaks and programs lasting a semester or academic year. The Intensive English for Internationals (IEI) program prepares students for entry into graduate and undergraduate programs at the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ or throughout the United States. The IEI program is also open to international professionals living in the ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ area seeking to improve their working knowledge of English.

In its 2023-28 strategic plan, the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½ enshrined the vision to be a nationally recognized public research university that addresses the community and society’s greatest challenges. International partnerships create opportunities to magnify the impact of research and raise the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½â€™s profile around the world. DIA encourages and assists faculty and staff as they engage with colleagues and institutions abroad and helps foreign researchers find partners at the University of ÌÇÐÄVlog´«Ã½.
