Mt. Carmel, Illinois 2008
A seismologist, Steve Horton, led the CERI seismic response team and joined in the group efforts after a Mw 5.2 earthquake occurred on April 18 @09:36:59.1100 (UTC). The hypocenter was located at Latitude 38.45150掳N, Longitude 87.88617掳W and depth 14.25 km, ~3.28 km southeast of Gards Point, Illinois. Multiple institutions were involved in this aftershock study. They deployed CMG40T, CMG6TD, CMG3ESP, CMG5TD in the area of Mt. Carmel, Illinois from April 19 to May 1, 2008.
