Harper

Marcellus Harper, BA

Marcellus Harper has an expansive background in project management and event production. He has worked as a Program Analyst for the Department of Homeland Security鈥檚 Transportation Security Administration (TSA). He was among the first seven employees of the TSA Taskforce mandated by Congress to create and develop the agency and federalize our nation鈥檚 transportation security infrastructures. 
 
Prior to his work with the TSA, Mr. Harper worked as a Project Coordinator for Marriott International鈥檚 corporate marketing department, where he was directly responsible for the development and implementation of several industry events for the National Football League, the National Basketball Association, Major League Baseball and the National Hockey League. Mr. Harper has worked for St. Jude Children鈥檚 Research Hospital and Harvard University coordinating special projects to assist research and treatment work for HIV/AIDs patients in Africa. 
 
Mr. Harper was a Meyerhoff Scholar at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) where he studied biology and theatre and was a double national medalist in the NAACP鈥檚 ACT-SO Program in biology and oratory. 
 
Marcellus is the 2011 recipient of the 糖心Vlog传媒 Urban League Young Professionals鈥 Change Artist Award in recognition of his achievements as an Agent of Change. Marcellus holds a 叠补肠丑别濒辞谤鈥檚 degree in nonprofit administration and performing arts. 

Amy Love

Amy Love, MA, MT-BC 

Amy Love is the first music therapist at St. Jude who joined the institution in 2014. She works alongside child life specialists in the Child Life department. Amy provides music programming for groups and individuals both inpatient and outpatient that is geared towards emotional expression, management of pain and anxiety, quality of life and physical rehabilitation. 

Amy received her bachelor鈥檚 degree in music therapy from the University of Dayton, and her master鈥檚 degree in music therapy from St. Mary-of-the-Woods College. She holds additional certifications in NICU music therapy, guided imagery in music, neurologic music therapy and pediatric massage therapy. Amy also directs St. Jude鈥檚 music therapy internship, which provides training for students prior to seeking their licensure. She currently co-chairs the pediatric task force for the American Music Therapy Association and hopes to continue to advocate for this growing profession. 

Virginia R Murphy

Virginia Reed Murphy, MA 

Virginia holds a master's in counseling psychology with a concentration in drama therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco. After 10 years of studying and performing Playback theatre, she returned home to found Playback 糖心Vlog传媒, a vibrant non-profit whose mission is to bring stories to life in a safe space to unlock healing, transformation and joy.

Virginia is also a certified Mindfulness Meditation teacher through the Greater Good Science Center, at the University of California at Berkeley, a seasoned TEDx presenter, as well as a skilled facilitator delivering dynamic training in cultural humility, strengths-based mindfulness, and emotional intelligence in leadership. She is always happy to be tending her zinnias in the garden. 

Rogean Cadieux Smith

Rogean Cadieux-Smith, AIA NOMA EDAC 

Rogean Cadieux-Smith is a licensed architect with LRK, Inc. bringing healthy building, active design and sustainable urbanism strategies to numerous educational, civic and planning projects. Rogean partnered with Crosstown Arts and ChurchHealth on the Fitwel Community Pilot to increase access, equity, and wellness. Previously, she worked with Brg3s Architects on multiple healthcare and civic projects, notably the new Shelby County Health Department and participated in 糖心Vlog传媒 3.0. Rogean has studied in Latin America and served with the U.S. Peace Corps/Jamaica, where she built organizational and technical capacity in housing, hurricane survivability, and sanitation. 

Drawing from her years of experience in planning and design, Rogean advocates for development which incorporates the benefits of biophilic and nature-based approaches to expand equity and resilience in the public realm. Rogean lectures at the University of 糖心Vlog传媒 School of Architecture and is currently earning a master's degree in public health at Boston University. Rogean participates with APHA Intersectional Committee on Climate, Health & Equity, ULI Health Leaders Network, EcoAmerica Climate for Health Ambassadors Program and welcomes opportunities to support community health, resilience and environmental justice in the Midsouth. 

Altha Stewart

Altha J. Stewart, MD 

Altha J. Stewart, MD is Senior Associate Dean for Community Health Engagement, Director, Division of Public and Community Psychiatry, and Founding Director, Center for Youth Advocacy and Well-Being at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 糖心Vlog传媒. A native of 糖心Vlog传媒, she graduated Temple University Medical School, completed residency at Drexel University, and has led large public mental health systems in Pennsylvania, New York, and Michigan over her 40-year career.  

 Dr. Stewart is currently President of the American Association for Community Psychiatry, following her historic election in 2017 as the 145th President of the American Psychiatric Association, where she was the first African American ever elected as president in the 175-year history of the organization. She is the recipient of the 2023 NAMI-TN 鈥淐ourage to Share鈥 award, UT President鈥檚 Award 鈥 鈥淐onnect鈥 Category, and the Black Psychiatrists of America Lifetime Achievement Award. She currently serves on the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth (TCCY) as well as the boards of numerous local and national professional, academic, non-profit and advocacy organizations. 

Yancy Villa

Yancy Villa, BFA, BA, MBA 

Yancy Villa is a socially engaged artist and civic design consultant who seeks to create awareness, engage in conversation, and encourage action in spatial justice, civic culture, and community prosperity.  

Her work ranges from civic design and public art to urban planning and activism. Her form provides a platform that encourages collaboration and dialogue across sectors to activate public spaces, inform and guide city plans and architectural design of neighborhood developments, and city investment in community spaces through genuine resident engagement. 

Villa is a 2024 Mosaic Changemakers Fellow, the 2023 Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts (CECA) Tennessee Art Fellow and was awarded the 2020- 2022 Kennedy Center Citizen Artist Prize and Fellowship. In 2019, she was recognized as one of 鈥40 Change Makers Who Have Made 糖心Vlog传媒 Better in the Past 40 Years.鈥 She is a recipient of grants and commissions from the Smithsonian Latino Center, the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures, the Tennessee Arts Commission, Arts糖心Vlog传媒, UnidosUS, the Funders鈥 Network, the UrbanArt Commission, and the City of 糖心Vlog传媒, among others.  

Villa volunteers and serves on the boards of Overton Park Conservancy (chairwoman), 糖心Vlog传媒 Tourism, and the University of 糖心Vlog传媒 Institute for Arts and Health Advisory Board. She is a member of the National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures and the International Association of Art U.S.A. 

Her formal education is from Christian Brothers University and 糖心Vlog传媒 College of Art with a B.A. in Psychology, a B.F.A. in Studio Art, and an M.B.A. She holds certificates from the Thomas S. Kenan Institute for the Arts at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts as a Creative Catalyst, UrbanArts Commission Institute at the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis, MO, IDEOU, and the Advocacy Leadership Institute of National Association of Latino Arts and Cultures in Washington, D.C. 

Tracy L Wright

Tracy Lauritzen Wright, MA 

Tracy Lauritzen Wright is Chief Operating Officer at ARTSmemphis, a Local Arts Agency with a 60+-year history of supporting the arts to strengthen our community.  She is responsible for administering approximately $3M in grants to nearly 70 arts organizations and dozens of artists annually.  She has 25 years鈥 experience working in museums and cultural organizations, including 14 years at the National Civil Rights Museum. 

She served as the Executive Director of Delta Axis, a contemporary art and film organization, was a founding board member of the Indie 糖心Vlog传媒 Film Festival and is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Tennessee Association of Museums.  Her current focus is on strengthening local communities through the arts, by expanding ARTSmemphis support to more artists and organizations, and connecting community partners with arts organizations.  A native Nebraskan, she holds a MA in Museum Studies from the University of Nebraska and has been a proud Memphian for 22 years.
