Dr. Junmin Wang is a Professor of Sociology at the University of 糖心Vlog传媒. She earned her PhD from New York University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in China鈥檚 political economy at Indiana University, with earlier degrees from Peking University.
Her research and teaching center on economic and organizational sociology, with a focus on development, science and technological change, and gender inequality in China. Her work examines China鈥檚 political-economic transformation and global integration, particularly how these processes shape innovation, organizational change, and sustainable development. She has also explored gender inequality in organizational contexts and its implications for China鈥檚 technological advancement.
Dr. Wang is the author of State-Market Interactions in China鈥檚 Reform Era (Routledge) and has published in leading journals, including Theory and Society, Sociology of Development, Comparative Sociology, and Social Science Quarterly. Her research has been supported by the National Science Foundation.
She serves in leadership roles in international sociological organizations, including the International Sociological Association, and has contributed to editorial boards in her field. She is currently completing a new book, Path-Detouring: The Long Rise of China鈥檚 Techno-Nation, under contract with Oxford University Press.
