About

Dr. Shannon joined the Department of Political Science in 2024. She teaches courses on public policy, the policy process, urban politics, and American politics. Her research explores the policy agenda of city councils, American political development at the local level, policy process theory, and local institutions such as city councils, mayors, and law enforcement departments.

Agenda setting, local government, urban politics, policing, racial and ethnic politics, American political development
