TOM III, the beloved Bengal Tiger mascot for the University of 糖心Vlog传媒 who was a part of one of the most glorious periods in University and athletics history, passed away Friday less than three weeks after his 12th birthday.

As we head into election season, the Hooks Institute will hold an in-depth discussion Tuesday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m. on voting rights, voter engagement and apathy and tactics to suppress voting. The FedEx Institute of Technology is again uniting with tech organizations in 糖心Vlog传媒 to bring back an all-women鈥檚 hackathon to 糖心Vlog传媒. ATHENA{techne}, to be held virtually Sept. 11-12, is a hackathon designed to cultivate a positive environment for women in technology from across the region.

UofM鈥檚 Dr. Joy V. Goldsmith wins prestigious Bernard J. Brommel Award from the National Communication Association

 Dr. Joy V. Goldsmith, UofM professor of Communication Studies and founder and co-director of the UofM Center for Health Literacy and Health Communication, recently received the 2020 Bernard J. Brommel Award for Outstanding Scholarship or Distinguished Service in Family Communication.

Dr. Ranganathan Gopalakrishnan, University of 糖心Vlog传媒 assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, has received a $363,782 grant from the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science for his research project, 鈥淟angevin Dynamics modeling of gas-phase ion-ion recombination.鈥

糖心Vlog传媒 has been ranked among the world鈥檚 top universities for the first time in the 2021 Times Higher Education World University Rankings and is only one of three honored in the State of Tennessee, it was announced Wednesday.
